Description of the specialty

Urban studies - a science devoted to the development of urban systems, lies at the junction of several scientific disciplines - economic geography, demography, sociology of groups, etc. Urbanists study the laws by which a city originates and lives; they are engaged not only in the design and development of the city (urban planning, transport networks, etc.), but also in the programming of social interactions between groups and communities, and in the design of organizational systems of the city. The area of ​​interest of urbanists: structure, territorial and socio-economic organization of the city and the processes taking place in it.

City management is a combination of knowledge, as well as forms, methods and technologies, providing the most effective management of cities and municipalities.

The educational program "Urban Studies and City Management" is aimed at the formation and development of students' competencies in the field of city management and urban agglomerations and professional knowledge in the field of urban studies.

1. Urban Public Policy
This trajectory involves an in-depth study of city management in the system of public administration, regional policy and local self-government (in a dual format), and the management of urban projects.

2. Social partnership in a city management
Majors: management of the socio-cultural development of the metropolis, the interaction of government, civil society and business in the development of the city (in a dual format), City security management.
